Hostile mobs can't open gates, nor can they travel over double carpet [might need to check that one in more modern versions], and endermen require a 3-high ceiling.

Running through a gate (or hopping a fence using a carpet, although I didn't think of it at the time 😞), or runniing across a line of double carpet would keep the zombie and creeper from tracking/following you. Getting under a less than 3-high roof would similarly provide protection from the enderman.
