The Snowflakes

Up in the sky, drifts some snowflakes


Up there, they can see all,


Looking down, they can see rakes


Being put away, for its winter, after all.






Drifting slowly, slowly drifting,


Down, down, down…


They can see faces uplifting


All over the town.






For it is almost Christmas


And everybody's bustling


These snowflakes watch this business


While everybody’s hustling.






Everybody buying presents


These white specks watch ‘em


Watching all of the events


Everybody is numb.






Little children playing games,


Throwing snowballs everywhere


Then one kid perfectly aims


And sends one flying through the air.






Then these flakes land,


On the pure-white ground,


This time of year is certainly grand


For now Santa Clause is in town!
