Hey guys! I've decided to make a movie review about Earth to Echo which came out on July 2nd. Enjoy!
So the movie is about 3 boys named Alex, Tuck, and Munch who are about to move because 'a freeway is going to be built', and a few days before they move their phones start going crazy near one of their houses. They finally fiqure out that what their phones are doing is thay they're creating a map, a map to Echo. So on the night before they move they go and explore where the map is telling them to go to. Later that night they finally make it there and find something weird, it was Echo. At first nothing happened so they thought the 'machine' was trash, except for Munch who decides to grab it when they see people off in the distance. When they got away Echo started making Munch go crazy by touching him on the back, which freaks him out making the others look in his backpack noticeing the 'machine'. When they pull it out of the backpack Echo starts waking up making the 3 think it's a bomb, and they keep trying to 'defuse' it. All of a sudden their phones create a new map taking them to a barnhouse where things get crazy. Something in a tractor goes flying out of it and goes crazy spinning through the farmhouse almost hurting the 3, then it finally settles down and connects to Echo who decides to start communicating. The 3 learn Echo's from space (with yes/no questions) and that it doesn't eat humans (don't you love that part of the trailer :P). They also learn that it's afraid of humans and wants to go home. After a while their phones create a new map which leads back to town, and into an antique store where they find the next piece... but the piece goes crazy again flying around the store then finally connecting to Echo. After that they get a new map which leads them into a house... the house of a girl named Emma, who, after the 3 find the next piece in her room which destroys the room, decides to join them. Things start to turn for the worse here, as the next map takes them to a bar and, you get the idea, the place is destroyed because of the next piece. Next map takes them to a arcade where after getting the next piece, an alarm goes off making a security guard find them and ends up capturing Alex and tells him off. Emma goes to save him and when they get back, Alex is mad at Tuck for leaving him behind. So they get in a fight and after a while Emma and Munch stop them saying that they should go get food at a diner. While they are eating Tuck and Alex make up but then a 'construction worker' comes in and sees them telling them to give him Munch's backpack, which has Echo inside, and he takes it to his truck and leaves, and right before he gets going Munch jumps into the back of his truck. the rest chase them down and Munch calls them telling them that he is at their neighborhood in the construction area. So when they get back there they find Munch and Echo, but they are captured. The 4 get taken to a car dump, which is where the last piece is, so echo gets the last piece and the 4 get into one of the trucks and they book it (following the next map). They end up back where they first got the first map and for some reason, Echo's ship is under the entire neighborhood. After they say goodbye Echo starts creating his spaceship over the neighborhood and then it flys away.
Personally I love this movie and I would give it a 9.5 (not 10 because of some personal reasons). I hope you guys go watch the movie and enjoy it aswell. By the way I did leave out alot just incase you guys only wanted to hear the main story and not every detail.
