Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a pretty great film in it's way. The plot is about the Resistance trying to A. Defeat the First Order. And B. Find Luke. The (Main) characters are Finn, a stormtrooper who leaves the First Order and joins the Resistance, Rey, a Scavenger from Jakku who finds the droid BB-8, Poe Dameron, an Resistance pilot, and some OG characters like Han Solo, General Leia, and Chewbacca. These characters are all equally great and bring the story forward, the story is also pretty good. BUT there are OF COURSE some problems like the story is a copy-paste version of A New Hope, just with some characters and plot elements switched around. My second and biggest problem is (SPOILER!) the SEVERE lack of Luke in the film. I was also pretty bummed that (SPOILER!) Han Solo DIED. Overall, Force Awakens is pretty great. Not terrible like the dreaded prequels, but not as grand as the "Original Trilogy". I give this film an 8.8 out of 10.
