i decided to start a new world, then i decided it might be wise to make a blog series of it. this is that series, where i shall tell you the first some 10 days of my world. im unsure how consistent ill post these, but its still fun to make them! note i have currently 2 datapacks enabled. one which adds illusioners, and makes them be like those on MCD, and another, which allows channeling to be used in any weather.
days 1-2 were spent trying to find a village, as i knew they would be useful later. my main goal at the moment was to stay away from the nasty skellies, and the other abhorrent creatures, to find a bed in a village. i wanted a trading farm eventually, but i was unsure when id get to that. i found (on day 3) a savanna village, and -although it was ugly- decided it was the best id do. i quickly settled out in a home, and made a cow farm in the back of a butchers house. the same butcher was displeased with me after i (accidentally) punched him. while i considered getting rid of all witnesses to the scene and killing him, i chose to refrain, 'till that is i saw a nitwit walking about! i chose to attack and -though the attack was poorly done- killed him! i had made sure there were no witnesses, as during the town meeting i knew (on java) the villagers liked to gossip. at this point i was using my stone tools from day 2. as day 3 ended, i killed the iron golem, and gained 3 iron to make a pick! i started a strip mine before making a huge pen for my cows.
i bred them with stolen wheat, and heres a cute image (its not actually cute, its me giving them a speech, rallying them, against the common enemy, and ridding them of the working class)
while in the above mentioned strip mine i was lucky and found 9 diamonds (in 2 veins) within the first 15 minutes. sadly after that my luck ran out, and i didnt find anything for the next 45 minutes, besides 2 zombies, which i suppose spawned due to my poor illumination skills.
the next couple of nights i killed the local golems; and i did it only at night due to the villagers all being asleep. one day however i got quite cocky! and decided id "indirectly" kill the golem, with fire. this sadly caused an ill-hanging tree to catch the flames, as well as an unfortunate house.
the next few days were spent mining so i had about a stack of iron, and then i died to a baby zombie after a poorly timed steam update decided to overtake my screen. i proceeded to die 2 more times, before getting out of the wretched cave! with several more diamonds to my name! enough to make an enchantment table, in fact.... but we'll save that for next blog!
