Hey guys! Doublejinxx here and this is the second installment of TAGS (The Adventures of Grey Salem)

Enjoy!

We join grey Salem once again as he fights to survive, but this time he isn't fighting for his life, he is fighting for his sanity...

I stand staring into the blank white canvas before me. I hold an iron tool in my shivering hands. Only the finest of blacksmiths could craft something of such brilliance, it possessing the ability to cut through even lava rock. Instantly the thought of something that radiates so much warmth makes me shiver harder.

As I trudge through the blistering snow, a welcoming sight stands before me. I have established a settlement outside of the village I had previously presided in for one reason: solitude. When I did live among the villagers there was an unrelenting tension between the lack of privacy and the deficiency of involvement. It was true that these people were perhaps the finest crafters in all of Mallor, but if you asked them to leave their home they would inevitably refuse, and instead invite you to stay with them.

As I approach my camp something moves swiftly out of the corner of my eye. I panic momentarily, knowing that only the most enduring creatures dared to tread this frozen wasteland.

I crouch down, equip my sword, and advance slowly forward. As quietly as I can, I slide the leather pack off my back and set it in the snow knowing that it would only prove to be a obstruction.

I take step after step; the more I take the faster my heart races. A sense of fear hits me like an arrow in my side. suddenly, the last thing I feel I should do is enter my camp. my imagination is running into the darkest corner it can find as I progress forward. I try to run away, but I unwillingly move ahead. Now, I'm not even moving my legs. I am being helplessly dragged along the snow.

A figure appears before me as a silhouette, its face hardly visible. As I am still being dragged towards it, its begins to light up. The more I see, the colder it becomes. A smile forms, then two eyes that seem to stare directly into me. I am freezing both physically and mentally as the face becomes fully lit. Standing before me is the The One, The Conductor himself: NOTCH.

Am I alive? If I'm not, being dead is a lot different than I thought it would be. No bright lights, no life flashing before my eyes. Maybe this is what happens when someone dies. You are abandoned in a state of blackness, left to drown yourself in your thoughts eternally. Being snared in your own remorse without any hope of being relieved of this life and being able to move on to the next.

A sharp pain in my right arm quickly answered my questions. I was indeed alive. How much alive, I don't know.

I struggled to sit up and survey my situation. Once again a field of white, now covering my body. I have woken in my bed, but it is not where it should be. I am not sure where I am, but I do know one thing:

My dreams are getting worse
