Brief introduction.
Hello. And welcome to another blog. This blog is going to be an entry to a contest on the forums. The link to this contest can be found here. Now, let me get to the point. This is going to be a short, quick-write story. Just for fun. (and maybe contest glory :D) So, let me begin. (P.S. This story is going to have picturesssss!)

The Story.

One day, several years ago, Steve was sitting in his house, relaxing in front of a roaring fire. He was once again, contemplating his situation. When will someone come to rescue me? he thought. All of a sudden, he heard a knock on the door. Could someone have come to rescue me? He began to wonder. He opened his front door. And outside, he saw a Human! Not one of those nasty, horrible villagers, an actual Human - like him! He immediately invited the man inside. As the man sat down, Steve asked him: "How did you get here? have you come to rescue me?" The stranger then replied "No, friend. I came here the same way you did, and i'm sorry to say that i need rescuing as well. I am not a rescuer myself." So Steve then questioned, "Then, why ARE you here?" The stranger replied, "I have been watching you for a while. I have seen your large house, I have seen your portal to another adventure, and i have slain the same monsters you have. I've also seen your biggest goal here. Mining. And, i want to strike you a deal. "What sort of deal?" Steve asked. "I was once a great scientist and inventor. I will make you an automaton that will mine for you, and give you what it mines." "Sounds Great," Steve began. "But what's the catch?" The Stranger then replied, "I will do this on the condition that you give me food and shelter." Steve agreed to the stranger's deal.

"I suppose we should tell each other our names." Said the stranger. "Alright," began Steve, "I'm Steve." "Nice to meet you, Steve." The stranger began, "I'm Jordan." He finished. "Well Jordan, we better get to work here." Said Steve. So work they did. After hours, and hours, of slaving over welding and smelting iron ingots into body parts, and Jordan working with gears and wires, they had built their automaton. "It's incredible!" They both shouted in perfect unison "Well i'll be darned!" Began Steve. "We actually did it! Thanks a lot Jordan!" "No problem," Said Jordan, "Now all we need to do is program it with my special invention, The Sparkoflifeifier, Put it in the mine shaft, and we'll be good to go!" "Wonderful," Said Steve. So, our two companions programmed the automaton and left it in the mine shaft. And for weeks, and weeks, the automaton mined and mined, But then one day, he almost fell into some lava in a cave he was mining in. But then, time seemed to freeze. And Herobrine rose up from the lava. He saved the automaton, but enchanted it with an evil spell. The automaton would now no longer have it's mine set on mining. It would have it's mind set on terminating Steve and Jordan. That night, while Steve and Jordan were both in their beds, sleeping, the automaton crept up to them, and leaned over Steve's bed, and watched him as he slept. Now, not only had Herobrine given him the desire to kill, but he had also given him ghastly powers. The automaton then leaned in, and started to attempt to suck out Steve's soul, but then Steve's eyes snapped open. And instead of the automaton sucking out Steve's soul, Steve looked into the Automaton's soul, and the machine looked into Steve's memory. They were both terrified at what they saw. In the automaton's soul, Steve saw visions of hatred, and of death, but he also saw the horrible, trapped, good soul within. Desperately trying to escape. Steve fought the automaton's grasp on him, and challenged the dark magic coursing through his veins, and eventually disconnected it. But while this was happening, the automaton was looking in Steve's memory. And he was even more terrified than Steve. He saw large, menacing metal and wood cutting machines! It was horrible. And yet, so many people! so many people he must eliminate! You see, Herobrine hadn't just given him the command to destroy Steve and Jordan, he had given him the command to destroy all mortal humans. All of a sudden, he stopped seeing Steve's memory, and came back to the real world. He gasped, and then began to mutter, "So.... Many.... People..." And then, all of a sudden, the automaton imploded, and he was gone. Steve turned over, and faced Jordan, who had been woken up by the commotion. "I really must invent things less." He said.

Closure.

Well, i hope you all enjoyed that. That was actually the first blog i ever published in the story category, and i find it a little interesting that i chose to make it a horror story.....
