The Faction PvP world of Minecraft can be a harsh place for the newcomers. Most likely a faction will track you down, destroy your pigs and eat you alive. After years of experience i would like to share some advice about how to survive without giving away your life to PvP.

Make Alliances

Know your enemy!
"To know your Enemy, you must become your Enemy."
If you are a leader then lead by example
"a leader leads by example not force"
Envoke rage? Maybe.
"If your opponent is of choleric temperament, seek to irritate him"
Words of wisdom
"One defends when his strength is inadaquate, he attacks when it is abundant"
Remember to use strategy- even in Minecraft a well placed TNT strike can mean victory or defeat
[Choosing a Server]
- If you see a Admin throwing free items you should rethink playing on this server [Yes- it sounds good to begin, but in the long run usually ends up to work against you]
- Be sure to make sure there are no hackers- ask around
- New servers are nice, but make sure people are going to play and keep the server up before mining those diamonds
- Make sure the server prevents OP (over powered) mods such as getting insanely high Sword Skills
[Building a Fort]
- Does the server allow Obsidian? Water is a great alternative- just place it between your walls
- Be sure to claim most of your land OUTSIDE of your fort. This is the only really good way to prevent people from breaking in to your fort.
- When building a treasury- always claim it for yourself by setting the ownership to you ( /f help 3-6?) And build it away from any other room so none can break in using TNT. You can allow people to store their chests with them but anything you don't want to lose do not let anyone else touch
- Torches are great inside of Forts- Not outside
- Think about putting a block on-top outside your wall to prevent Spiders
[PvP]
- If you can not afford to spend your life grinding [Look up grinders MineCraft if you wish] for good armor and weapons- Enchant a Bow- it will always be for PvP
- With all the potions- enchants - armor - smithing- it is really hard to become the best- Although fair fighting is encouraged sometimes a group of players and a bow go a long way
- Never leave a Nether Portal alone- they make invading extremely easy.
- On the other side if you wish to invade someone- build a nether portal next to their base
