Lets begin!
It's dark outside, clouds covering the moon. A small gray kitten lays shivering near a large garbage pale. It lifts its head, and struggles to stand up. It begins mewing, as if calling for its mother. After awhile it seems to realize no one is coming, and just collapses...
About 3 years later...
Cloud rushes through the streets, desperately trying to catch his train. He veers off into an alleyway, hoping it's the shortcut he used to use. As he enters, he slows his pace. Something seems familiar, as if he'd been there before. Pictures of a dark sky flash about, and a older, female cat is thrown about between them. He shakes his head, attempting to clear it. He keeps walking, and eventually reaches the other side. What was that? he wonders.
Then, just as he entered the station, he hears his train is on last call. He sprints over to his gate, and barely manages to slip through the closing doors.
He takes a seat across from a slightly younger cat, and gives him a polite wave of tail. The cat blinks back, and they both smile. "What's your name" says the younger cat. "Cloud. You?" "Lark." They both talk about random things for awhile, until Cloud asks "Say, where do you live, Lark?" Lark suddenly looks down. "I.. uh.. don't actually have a home..." he mumbles. Cloud looks at him sympathetically. "I didn't either when I was growing up. Now that you say that, how would you like to live with me?" Lark's head shoots up, his eyes wide. "Really!? You mean it!?" Cloud smiled, and nodded.
