"Kent, joking around won't help." I muttered, "Ka-Katie? Don't kick Kent!" Sam immediately went in as a mediator between the two. "Hey, if we keep up at this pace, we'll never get to the secret base!" I said in a strict tone. But we were almost there, "Sorry Aya." Sam and I winked at each other.

I was the oldest, and the only one not adopted out of my siblings. I laughed, our base was at our Summer home. Grandmother came with us, while mother and father spent more time at work. Grandmother was at the house, or secret base was what she told us.

"Grammy and her friend Louie played there a lot! It's where we met, right near the lake on a small hill, here." She pointed to the small location with her frail finger. Louie died before the marriage, grandmother's books were in my old house so I read through them. I smiled, hiding the sadness.

When we arrived it was a tree house, and a small shack. My wide eyes and smile, "Yeah!" Sam's eyes were a goldish green color, as well as Kent's eyes. Katie's eyes were a dark brown, almost black. While mine were an ugly reddish color.

After a week and a half of cleaning the base looked amazing, I sat in our tree-house while Katie and Kent played some hand-held game. "Hey, where's Sam?" I realized that after I looked up. The two heads looked at mine in confusion, the blonde boy and brown haired girl. "Sam!" We called out for a few minutes before we heard that to close of a, "Over here!"

I stared in horror, at Sam he was sitting on a branch just outside the window "Get over," I was barely audible, "here now!" I was fearful. If something bad happened, I couldn't forgive myself. He carelessly walked over on the branch with a baby bird in his cupped hands.

"This little guy, he almost fell out of the nest." He pointed to the bird, I got out half way of the window. Reached for the nest, and somehow managed to get it closer. So I could put the little guy back in. Successful, mission, ah yes that day I had an idea.

I was nine back then, I need to wipe away my tears. If this happens, I know the outcome, and I hate this ability. God, he gave me this terrible ability. I can feel others pain, that is my terrible ability, which has led me to this regrettable decision. But I wrote out the letters, Grandma, Louis, Mother, and I will be united in Heaven.

It has been eight years, but I still held onto the birthday gifts. A locket, book, and blue scarf with black stars on it. Then I sprinted into the lake at the dead of night. I let myself drown, August 9th is my death-date. May 30th is my birthday, I lived a short life. But for now, I hope my family can be happy with themselves, living with my selfish action.

I should've been stronger, but the last thing I saw was our strategy.
A thing, I will never forget.
"I'm sorry, but your sadness will not belong to me anymore."
I didn't mean it in a selfish way.
But, our strategy was to change the never-ending spinning world we live in.
