The day was (insert date), 2022. Everything was normal in IGEBM's kingdom of Hell's Island, built on a massive island, with the capital city being located at the center of a large mountain range that made up most of the main island. He loved it here, for he had found a home at last. After so many times he had to move and leave his homes behind, he had finally fount a place to stay. Little did he know it would all come crashing down soon.

The Hell's Island High Council, comprised of IGEBM and his friends Ant and Drome, met in their usual meeting area, the top floor of the Hell Spire, the central building in Hell City (the capital city). "So, what should we do about these rumors of a group of rebels?" IGEBM asks. "Well, I was thinking we could investigate the rumors." Ant suggests. "And figure out who their leader is, if they're even true." "That sounds like a good idea to me." Drome says. "We should send in a spy to investigate." "I know the perfect spy." IGE says. "I'll be right back." He climbs up to the roof and takes out his Riptide trident. It's a rainy day, so he throws it down to the ground, landing on the doorstep of his best friends Shep and Iguana. He knocks on the door.

Shep opens the door. "Hey, IGE!" he says. "How are you?" "Good." the council leader says. "Is your brother home?" "Oh, yeah, he's on the couch binge-watching Forrestbono's 100 Days videos." Shep responds. "Iguana, IGE is here to see you!" IGE follows Shep into the house, built on the grounds of what was originally going to be a cemetery. "What is it?" Iguana asks, pausing "I Survived 100 Days in the Caribbean Ocean... Here's What Happened." "Well, I needed you for a mission." he says. "You can't tell anyone about this, but I want you to infiltrate a possible group of rebels seeking to overthrow me and the Council." "I'm in." Iguana says. "I presume Shep has to stay quiet to." IGEBM nods yes, and Iguana goes to his room to get ready for the mission. IGEBM leaves, saying goodbye to his friends, before attempting to throw his trident only to realize it isn't raining anymore. "Guess I have to walk all the way back." he says. He walks back to the Hell Spire and starts climbing the several flights of stairs, grumbling about the fact that they didn't put in an elevator. Once finally returns to the top floor, he informs the rest of the Council of Iguana's mission.

That night, IGEBM leaves the Hell Spire after everyone else has left to head over to the Nether Cave, where him and Cowboy set up the island's main Nether portal. He enters the Nether and arrives to see a very nice entry area. Him and Cowboy have been working in the Nether for the past week to get the area ready for the first annual NetherFest, a big festival in the Nether spanning across various areas of the fiery dimension near the portal. He sees Cowboy fixing a food stall. "Hey, Cowboy." IGE says. "Hi, IGE." Cowboy responds. "I finished some of the food stalls. What took you so long? You were supposed to be here 20 minutes ago." "I had to finish some paperwork." IGE says. "I'm gonna head over to the game zone and work on the target game." The head councilman walks down a blackstone bridge to another area across the chasm, where the games are going to be. He opens up a chest and takes out a dispenser and some redstone, getting ready to set up a prize dispensing contraption.

After a few hours of hard work and a part where one of the parkour platforms for the course fell out of the air and they had to replace it, IGEBM and Cowboy have finally finished the NetherFest area, just in time for the grand opening in two days. IGEBM and his friend return to the Overworld, with IGE heading back to the Spire and climbing the stairwell again to get the second-highest floor, where his bedroom is. He goes to sleep before another long day of working tomorrow.

The next day, IGEBM spends the entire day walking around the island, visiting various places, and working on repairing the railways. Meanwhile, Iguana has infiltrated the rebel cell. Clad in stolen Netherite armor, he joins the dozens of other rebels in an underground cave that serves as their base, waiting for the leader to come on stage to a give a speech about their upcoming plans. Then, he sees the leader walk onto the stage. It’s Pro. “Pro?” Iguana whispers quietly, surprised. “The furniture store owner? Dang. I didn’t expect that.” Luckily, no one heard him, or they’d get suspicious. “Greetings, fellow rebels!” Pro begins. "Today is the day we end this island's government, and become a free land!" Is this guy delusional? Iguana thinks in his mind as Pro speaks. The Council aren't tyrants or anything, and there are barely any strict laws. "Today is the day we fight for our home!" Pro continues. "For the freedom of Hell's Island!" "For the freedom of Hell's Island!" the rebels cheer. "Now, everyone grab your weapons and get ready to deploy!" Pro orders. The rebels head out of the room and enter the armory. Iguana follows them and gets his own weapons, planning to assassinate Pro and hopefully slow them down.

He goes to the bathroom, pretending to be peeing, but he's actually contacting IGEBM. "IGE, Pro is leading the rebellion." he whispers quietly into his communicator. "They're preparing for an assault to 'free the island.'" "Understood." IGE says. "I'll notify the others and we'll be ready for them." After several minutes, the rebellion was ready for the assault. Taking off with their elytras from the cliffs, they dropped TNT onto the ground, with more fliers shooting fiery arrows at the explosives, detonating them and tearing up the ground. The Hell's Island Military soon charged out from their headquarters underground, firing on the airborne rebels, knocking them out of the sky. Drome announced an evacuation of the island's citizens, but more soldiers on the ground had beaten the citizens of Hell's Island to the docks, destroying the boats and guarding the coast, preventing people from escaping. Upon seeing this on the cameras, Drome questioned if they were freedom fighters or terrorists.

"This isn't going like we planned." Ant says as he looks at the chaos on the ground from one of the windows in the meeting room. "No, it's not." IGE responds. "But we won't go down without a fight. At least none of them have come here yet." Then, they hear footsteps on the roof above them. IGE generates a light sword, with his fellow council members drawing their Netherite swords. It turns out to be Iguana, arriving to join the others. He climbs down into the meeting room. "Guys-" he begins, before his body falls over. The others are shocked to see him shot dead by an arrow fired from a bow wielded by another rebel. "Traitor." the rebel says, before he is killed by a light blast from IGEBM. "This is all happening so quickly!" Drome says. "Everything we've built is all crumbling to pieces!" The Council begin to discuss what to do before Shepplaz arrives. "Hey, just so you know, I was running upstairs when I saw some rebels planting explosives around the Spire." he says, before noticing his brother's body. "N-no. They-they killed him?!" "I'm afraid so." Ant says.

Out of nowhere, Pro flies through the window, shattering it. "You all are going down." he says, drawing two Netherite swords, both enchanted with Sharpness. The four of them begin to fight him, but it turns out that this fight is a distraction. IGE corners Pro, pointing his light sword at him. "No." he says. "You're going down." Pro begins to laugh. "End me, then." he says. "I would die for my cause. In fact, I am. In 3, 2, 1." They hear explosions below them as the Spire begins to tilt. "The explosives!" Ant says! However, before they can do anything, the tower crashes down to the ground. IGE falls through the space where the window once was, and, in a panic, teleports to safety without grabbing onto the others. He appears near the wreckage of the Spire and runs over, generating a pair of light gauntlets to lift the pieces of concrete. He finds the corpses of his friends, along with Pro. "No." he says. "No. No. NO! Everything I worked for, everything I built, it's all gone." IGE collapses on the ground in tears, and thankfully, none of the rebels notice him. He picks himself up and heads to the cave Drome decorated when they island was first starting out. After hiding out there for several days, he notices that the rebels have left the island, presumably having realized that there's nothing left for them here.

IGE walks out of the cave and is nearly blinded by the sunlight after having spent several days in darkness. He generates a light axe and chops down a tree before building a small boat, which he takes to the docks. Luckily, the railroad tracks weren't destroyed. Once there, IGEBM gets into the boat and sets sail for PMC City, arriving there for the first time in his life. After months of running, moving, and changing homes, he thinks he has finally found a place to truly call home, and, after buying an apartment, he prays that this home won't be destroyed like his last one.

The end.

Author's Note
So, for anyone wondering what the Hell this story is, it's a prequel to the currently-unreleased fourth chapter of PMC: Apocalypse, during which IGEBM and his team will return to Hell's Island to find a part for their super collider. This story is a bit hastily-written, and it's not my best work, but I wanted to get this out as soon as possible to continue the steady stream of PMC: Apocalypse stuff that's setting up and teasing the series, which will hopefully begin in late May and end in late June. Now, the plot for chapter 4 reads, "IGEBM is forced to return to his past and finally come to terms with what happened on Hell’s Island during a mission find a key component in the team’s plan to stop the Maddened One." Basically, something IGE has kept hidden is that he's still shaken by what happened on Hell's Island several months ago, and in chapter 4, he's going to finally find closure during his return to the island, which he hasn't returned to since he left. IGEBM has a very troubled past, seeing as he had to flee his home after a zombie virus outbreak, got stranded on a dangerous island, joined a tribe of mages, formed a mountain colony that got destroyed, and finally founded Hell's Island, where he thought his journey would come to an end. That chapter is going to be where he comes to terms with it all.

For all wondering about that insert date thing, once I get my iPad back,* I'm going to check and see when I last played on my Hell's Island world (this is all based around a Minecraft world I started with some friends I met online who I don't hang out with anymore) and write in that day where it says "(insert date)."
