When the moonlight hit her, Trixie felt power coursing through her. A small lump appeared on her forehead, elongating into a blue horn. It glowed with a light blue power and Trixie gasped. She lowered her head and shot a beam of magic towards the tree. The branch, no. The whole tree flew into the air and crashed onto the ground. The small pink filly looked up, the terror in her eyes subsided. 'Thank you...' she whispered.

Trixie fell back onto the ground and looked around, astonished. What had she just done? It seemed that Trixie, the weak little filly, had grown a horn and displayed a powerful show of magic. 'That was powerful and great,' a voice came form behind her. Trixie turned, startled to find that Princess Luna was stood behind her. She bowed instantly.

Luna smiled. 'It's okay, you don't need to bow. I wanted to ask something,' she said. Trixie looked up at her, anticipation and anxiety in her eyes. 'I saw what you did with the power of the moon. No pony in existance has ever done that. I'd like to offer my services to you. As a teacher of moon magic,'

Trixie's jaw dropped. Princess Luna was offering her an oppertunity to be her student? 'I accept,' she said immediatley.
