Herobrine is probably one of the most known myths of Minecraft. But the truth of him is yet not certain.
Since the start of minecraft in 2009 Herobrine sightings have drastically increased and many thought he existed. Mojang wanted to stop the myth of herobrine by saying in the update "Herobrine Removed".
But is he really gone?
Ever since early Beta versions of the game the updates have held "- Removed Herobrine" But why over and over again? There would be the easy explanation that there have been Herobrine sightings. And Mojang wants to clear the conspiracy off Minecraft.
Herobrine is considered an evil steve looking player with no eyes. He is also said to burn down houses and kill you, horses and dogs. It is also said that he is always watching you but at a distance so you wouldn't notice him.
What if Mojang is trying to hide Herobrine?
Some argue that Herobrine will in the last of last versions of the game awake and work as a killer in the game. As the main final boss after defeating the ender dragon. And that he would burn down your world and hunt you down.
No one knows for sure if he exists, and if he does, why?.

Yes, Notch didn't create Herobrine, nor did he put him in the game, but now Mojang are using it as a joke, as if the update logs are from the removed Herobrine. Removed is his title. Just like you might be called Mister Smith. He's not in the game.
By the way, this is just my opinion... don't hate me D:
They have said that herobrine was a coding bug, like he creepers where.
And he just kept appearing in the coding like a virus.
He is real, but im sure they keep trying to fix it, and are not doing a good job,
because he's a virus.
Thats my beleif.
