The Leveling System

In my eyes, being such a low level, the PMC Leveling System is great! Mainly for the following reason:

• The lower levels have something to work for
  
• Everyone gets to see how much experience another person has
  
• We can customize our type, (Eg-Architect, Crafter, etc) which shows others what your interested in most in Minecraft.
  
• Who doesn't love a leveling system
  

But the Leveling System is now becoming something of a problem. I have encountered times when I post, only to get a comment like this: "Like a level 1 would know how to do this..." Some level 3 players do this. Level 3? Everyone started off at level 1, so you are basically bullying yourself. In a way, yes that did sound quite weird. We are a community, and how can we be a strong one if we have people trying to put down others. This site is about sharing your creations and letting your mind run free with Minecraft. We are not comparing anyone to anyone at any stage, because that is unfair to them.

We have the leveling system to give people an idea of how well their posts are going and whether they are on a reel or something. I log on and I see a slight experience change and I'm jumping in joy! That's meant to be the whole point of this exercise. To get us to want to login. In a way, PMC is advertising itself on its on website. People are using that to see where a player is at. See their experience and level. If we had 2 player, 1 was level 50, the other level 10, you would most likely go for the level 50. It is part of human nature in itself. Hang out with the cool ones at recess time. Same thing, except using levels.

The reel! This is of the better things about the leveling system. The level of someone is never displayed in the reel, and this is most certainly a good thing. This gives the lower levels a better chance of staying up their, and evens up the playing field. This would of course not matter if it was an amazingly popular player who had managed to get himself on the reel, everyone would know the level of this player. Obviously they would go for him/her. But other than that....
