Coal is found on layers up to 128 but common everywhere
Iron Ore is found commonly on layers up to 64 but no iron above layer 68
Lapis Lazuli is commonly found up to layer 25 but you can find it up to 35 rarely
Gold Ore is found up to layer 35 but is most common up to layer 32
Redstone is mostly found at layers 1-19
Diamond is found up to layer 19 but is most common up to layer 16

remember you need an iron picaxe to mine gold, diamond and Redstone so dont mine it with a stone pick or youl get no drop.
