Today I talk about a modpack included in Technic. This is not vanilla minecraft. If you're confused and want to understand, I would suggest going to the technic website. There you can download the launcher and play this.
Voltz
The day after christmas the folks at Technic Pack made a new update. This update included a brand new modpack (a lot of mods all clumped together) and named it Voltz. It unified the energy units into one, thus minimizing confusion and waste of resources. Every machine in Voltz runs off the same power.
Mods included (some with examples of each mod)
- Forge API
- Basic Components
- Atomic Science (reactors and such)
- Assembly line (conveyor belts)
- Basic Pipes (lets you pipe things around)
- Electric Expansion (unit of measure--joules)
- ICBM (many, many missiles. also has more weapons like poison, glass pressure plates, and mines)
- Inventory Tweaks (makes creative mode roomier)
- Mekanism (dusts of ingots)
- Modular Force Field System (includes the coveted force field to protect against creepers)
- Railcraft (tunnel bores and crowbars)
- Rei's Minimap (shows a little map of the surrounding area in the top right corner of your screen)
- Mystcraft
More tips... (FAQ)
- "My launcher is broken! It takes too long to open then breaks when it says I have to update!" A: Try redownloading the launcher. Works like a charm.
- "It won't even open! A window pops up saying it 'failed to initialize.' " A: This happened to me, too. Java is most likely not working on your computer, try updating java. If that doesn't work, look at the Technic forumsand find someone else to figure it out. :P
- Some items just say "Unnamed." What is happening? A: An item file is corrupted, meaning you have to go to OPTIONS in the launcher, and click "Clear Cache." If that still won't work, allocate more space for your .techniclauncher file. (I tried the maximum, now even lag is dead!)
