Have you ever looked at a creeper and thought: how did that come into existence? No because we are to busy running away. But seriously now let's get right on into the theory.

We all know (all should) the creeper was a failed attempt at making a pig skin. Notch said this himself when asked the question. But have you ever wondered if the creeper is just mutated? Let's say villagers decided to do an experiment on the pig. The first tests they put sand and gunpowder in the pigs food. "How did they get the gunpowder if creepers weren't around?" You may ask. Well sometimes villagers are able to trade gunpowder.

Those experiments didn't really concluded to anything new so they tried some other things. Maybe got a witch and had her mutate they pigs. These new pigs become more intelligent and turned on experimenters. Being suicidel from their terrible past blew themselves up when they got close and escaped.

Once free they just roamed. They didn't really have anything to do with stubby legs.
