Hey Dudes and Dudines, for the first ever time on PMC, there's a Blog Contest, and I wanted to make something special for this, so I've made this,

The Ultimate Minecraft Archery Tutorial

I've split it into parts to make it easier on the eyes, and it's perfect for players of all skill levels, with pictures and diagrams to make sure everything is clear and understandable.

I hope you find it useful. :D

Useful for people who just bought the game, but I kind of expected some even more information to my already immense knowledge on archery... I love using bows (more than swords, but arrows can be a pain to make sometimes) and I have a LOT of practice. I'm a sharpshooter with a bow, and this didn't really help me. But as I said, it's good to those who have little archery experience!

Yeah, I really wanted to make it concise for the n00blets who have had very little or no experience. I might release a tutorial similar to this for more experienced players. Might be a nice little idea. But thank you for the feedback.

There are times i set my distance to far, even though I know all my PVP friends have theirs at least on normal. Then they get mad when I shoot the sheep as they shear it. I think I've reached "That Guy"

Why thank you. :)
I like it, except for the part where you hit the mobs with a bow. However, I cry whenever I use a tool/object with durability for ANYTHING but its true purpose (even in creative!), so don't worry! :D

Aha fair enough, I get annoyed when I accidentally destroy leaves in a tree with my axe, it's such a waste. xD It's good that hitting things with the bow doesn't damage the durability. :D Thanks dude. :)
They don't?!?!? I'm sorry, I thought they did! I guess your tutorial is perfect then! XD

Its really good made, but I dont like that part about moving targets. Becouse they wont just move in one direction, and usually they will stop moving before you can even aim correctly, and then they move again. It would be better to just get closer to them and then shoot. :)

That's why timing is important. Due to the fact that they do not move in the same direction for long, it is critical that you aim forward and compensate for distance in a very short period of time, because, obviously, you will miss if they change direction and you've waited for too long. Sometimes getting closer isn't possible in some cases, so you may have to use this technique which is why I put it in. Thanks for your opinion. :)

Thanks for the tutorial, I simply don't fire at players or mobs that are moving at a long distance but I completely forgot this sniping technique. I'll use that to my advantage now! :P DIAMOND!

lol first 3 steps were for complete noobs and kinda made me feel like this tut was for complete derps but after those 3 steps this tut gets really good so have a diamond :3 oh and if its a pvp fight don't try to build dirt pillars that will cause you to fail horribly and die :I

Yeah, if you read the contest description, it's meant to be designed so anyone of any level of experience can understand it, so I had to make it so n00bs can understand. :) Thankyou. :3 Yeah, this isn't strictly for PvP, but building up only protects you from melee attacks, so obviously, they can still kill you if they build up aswell, or have a long-range weapon such as a bow, or potions. :)
