One Morning in the Plains of Passion, though the name never really fitted the actual surroundings, the Lions were like the kings. They lied in the sun as if the blazing heat did not effect them. They flipped their tails, sharpened their fangs, and glared their eyes at trespassers. The sun reflected on their claws and fangs as the gazelle passed by, though the Lions were to tired from their earlier hunt to bother just to chase even the young gazelle.
Now in the jungles, it was much different. Rain always falls, hunts usually brought back little prey. As the prey was scarce, so were the Tigers muscles. Now, you'd think prey from Jungles is not scarce, but in fact there is SO much rain, that the most of the prey is scared away.
In the afternoons, the Lions sun bathed. They stared off in the horizon, wondering what lays beyond, but too scared to really go beyond it. But one curious little cub may just want to see, and maybe, just maybe has the courage to travel as far as the horizon, where all Lions think the world ends.... Where the blackness starts.... And where the crazy ones live, and never return...
Tigers had a similar need; though it wasn't really a need, more as a want, or a wonder. They stared through the trees, the rain, to the border of their forest, and what lies beyond. Same as the Lions, one never dared to, but with different beliefs. They thought life was harder out there. And, it just so happens that life really WAS harder out in the plains. No rain, water, but plentiful food. They think one is a crazy, bee-brained goofball to even set foot out of their "wonderful" rain forest. tiger cubs were more curious, and one curious enough to become a goofball, crazy, bee-brained tiger...
