Hi everyone! Welcome to my blogpost, called 'Pimpin' Your Server'. Let's get started, as usual.
What are the Server Ranks?
You really don't know? There are specific ones for specific server types. For example: if you had a RPG server, most of the ranks would be based off your theme. Medieval? Default rank could be 'Peasant', 'Beggar', etc. Futuristic? 'Citizen', 'Civillian', and so on so forth. However, here's a basic theme for a Minigame server:
[Player] - Just as it says. A default member of the community!
[Expert] - A boosted version of the 'Player'. Donate-able? You decide!
[Boss] - The highest achievable rank for players, I guess. You can apply for Moderator from here.
[Mod] - A newly-appointed 'Boss' player in the form of a staff position.
[Senior Mod] - One of the more trusted moderators, or a mod in the form of an Admin position.
[Co-Owner] - So, your Senior Mod doing awesome? Amazing? Here you go, Co-Owner!
[Developer] - Optional. Do you have someone else doing your perms/plugin work? Award them with this title!
[Founder] - The extreme deal, all for you.
So there it is, a basic set of ranks for any sort of Minigames server.
How do you get a Server Logo?
Well, it is pretty easy if you find the right sources! If you're looking for any sort of server logo, come up with some fancy-schamncy abbreviation first! For example: Is your server name 'CoolCraft'? Ew! How about 'RadCoolSauces Network'? There we go... Next, you can use all your capital letters and transform them into one abbreviation: 'RCS Network'! Cool, right?
The next step is to get the logo-making done. You don't have to necessarily make a giant pro building team make a high-resolution extreme logo, but you can use this website to generate awesome text styles in the form of a Minecraft server:
TextCraft: http://textcraft.net
It's honestly a very useful website, which gives you simple templates to create your own personalized text! To make it even better (and if you're lazy!), people have set up their own personal templates for all of you to enjoy! You can easily pop in a few words and voila...da magix.
How do you advertise correctly?
If you want to pimp your server, you gotta do it right! The first doing should be starting to casually mention it around and about. Definitely set it as your Skype motto, post a status on Facebook about it, join a few server-advertising groups, etc. Don't be shy! If you want to earn players, you'll have to work hard to advertise.
However, there's a catch. There's such a thing as advertising TOO much to the point where people purposely avoid your server. If you're posting shabby forum threads about 'da furry bacca vsting me srver, check it out!!!11oneone', or fake reviews with alternate accounts saying 'u r teh besties' then you should stop. That's pretty bad, and everyone will find it hard to believe you.
Also: If you're the kind of person who has cash, you can start doing all the professional stuff if you really think you're going to succeed with your server. Go ahead and comission people for awesome art of your server, get ads up and running! This'll help your server thrive a lot more better than hard work of posting threads and others all day. In fact, here are some advertising method bulletpoints for you lot.

Advertising Methods
- Forum Banner - The good old forum-banner, A.K.A the achievement! You can easily customize one of the default achievment templates and turn it into a cool server-advertising thing! AchieveCraft: http://achievecraft.com
- PMC Server Post - One of the things you should definitely start with, PMC is full of ungrateful-wait, sorry. Let me rephrase that. One of the things you should definitely start with, PMC is full of beautiful, smart, and intelligent people who care for your every word! Plus, it gets you EXP points. Level up...
- Skype Motto/Facebook Post - Yep! If you do this, it'll get at least some of your friends interested. You'll definitely want them to help you out, right?
- Bragaroni Macaroni [Not Recommended!] - Why would you do this...? In the 'Bragaroni Macaroni' package, you receive the following: A spammers ID, 5 bans, and 3 mutes! How fun is that?

great blog.
If a staff member isn`t actually paying for part of the server, they shouldn`t be getting Co-Owner, because they aren`t co-owning ._.
