Here is the dilemma:
When creating a new world, due to looking for something fresh, some of us stare at the creation options for a while. Some of us just cant decide on how to name it, other wish to customize their seed. Other however, face the question of whether to become "mortal".
The issue with this is that sooner or later you become attached to your world in some manner, and dying due to some reason you deem not your own, or worse, do to your actions, lend s a sense of depression and loss...
Simply choosing survival however doesnt seem as bold or great to you as going all the way in Hardcore mode.

External world editing programs are not the answer, you will never get over the feeling of it not being "right". The most i have been able to do after a death is make a schematic of the best areas in that world.

Here is the puzzle:
How can you change your perspective to make your hardcore world fun till the very end, make it worthwhile to play without the knowledge of the ultimate death hovering above you? There must be a Goal you can set that changes the game sufficiently to make completion the highlight, death or no death.

Ideas?
