My sun beat face sank slowly at my shoulders. I was tired. As tired as one can be. My face was red and my hands were coarse. I was seeking new land. Land that no Minecrafter had ever explored. I was scared, to be honest. In that tiny wooden raft, sailing across the ocean. I had never experienced something of this sort. The waves were tearing at my raft, and they seemed to scream and scrape it. I had made the raft from scratch, in my hometown. I missed the shore. I missed my town. I missed land.

The smell of salt and fish masked the smell of my rotten food. I had brought an inventory of supplies and weapons and food. The supplies now sat in my inventory, waiting to be used. I got a sudden urge to eat. Why was I so hungry? I then wondered what time it was.The sun was stuck in the middle of the sky, meaning it was mid-day. My hunger lingered for an hour or so until I saw something. A black line dancing along the horizon. Land! Land! I quickly stood up and blocked my eyes from the sun. As I got closer and closer, I discovered more and more of the island. There were white, bright sandy beaches on the front of the island. As it got further back, it turned to nice rounded hills and forests. At the far back, stood a tall gray mountain covered in snow. I got closer and closer until "CLUNK" My raft bumped into the large island. I immediately got out of the tight raft and stretched.

The island was very large and had many different terrains. I slowly walked up the beaches and looked around. It seemed normal, so far. The beach was filled with seashells and rocks, and things about. I opened my inventory and took out my leather journal. I opened the journal and wrote:

DAY: 1

I just got off of the boat and onto the island. It looks nice here. Almost like happiness. I can smell fresh mango and leaves. I have in my inventory a shovel, pick, rotten food, and a sword. I can tell that no human has ever set foot on this island before.


I closed the journal and started to take a look around. Past the beaches, there was overgrown grass and large amounts of big rocks. Small hills made hiding places for tiny mice and foxes. I walked along the beaches, feeling the cold water tickle my toes. The sun was still blaring, but I felt better already. I watched out for anything useful, rope, sea glass, and bottles. In five minutes, I had 15 pieces of rope, 3 pieces of sea glass, and 2 bottles. I further explored the beaches for a few minutes, then went to where the grass and sand met. When I stepped on the bright green grass, it warmed my toes. After walking a few feet, the grassy plains turned to hilly forests where small animals slept.

In the forest, the trees grew tall and overhead, blurred out the sun. I went through a routine of chopping wood and making supplies, and then followed the butterflies out towards the inner part of the island. When I got to the inner-island, I noticed a nest. It was an extremely large patch of straw in the center of the island. Curious, I stepped forward and explored. There was a gigantic egg in the nest, waiting to be hatched. As I was in a patch of sun now, something blocked the sun for a moment. I looked up, and there was a huge spotted dragon flying over the island.


Day: 94

Spot, Egg and I went to get water from the well today. It seems to be working well. Spot and Egg have been learning some new tricks. I taught them how to spin in the air and catch fish from the pond. They are wonderful dragons. I also recently discovered a large cave system and made a map quickly. I love staying on this island, it gives me joy. I will now go to sleep. Good night.
