In this video I will show you what think is the top ten secret bases in minecraft. None of these are modded, and they are all fairly easy to make. This video does not show you a tutorial on how to make it, however, if I get enough requests I will make a tutorial for it.

Here is a list of all the bases, and the pros and cons of each:

10: painting base

Pros:
- can make for a good secret base in a house filled with paintings as long as its not on floor level.

Cons
- everyone knows about it
- anyone can get in when you are gone even mobs
- clearly visible

9: Tree base

Cons
- hard to locate
- can be found easily if someone needs wood or decides to dig
- will be exposed if tree catches fire
- have to replace wood

8: under water base
Pros
- Fairly hidden

Cons
- very hard to find

7: jungle base

Pros
- extremely well hidden

Cons
- can be exposed by fire
- have to replace grass block each time
- hard to locate

6: treehouse base

Cons:
- tree can be cut down
- can catch on fire
- fall damage
- takes time to get to

5: fishing base
Pros:
very secret

Cons
- hard to activate at times
- screwed without fishing rod
- will be found out of someone decides to dig

4: item drop base
Pros
Very secret
Makes for a quick escape if done fast enough.

Cons
- if someone decides to dig there it will no longer be secret.
- can be activated accidentally
- stays open for long time unless you use fishing rod which can be annoying

3: lava flow base
- ( make base with door as lava flow and switch hidden in lava)
Pros
Really well hidden
No one will dig next to lava

Cons:

- Takes time to enter
- Can burn you
- Could be dug into unless properly surrounded by lava

2: lava switch base
Pros
Very hidden
Most people would not thing to look for a switch in lava

Cons
- someone could dig into the base
- could get burnt

1: impenetrable lava base

Pros
- well hidden
- hard to break into
- protected from miners
- May look complex but fairly easy to make
- Creeper blasts and TNT explosions outside base will most likely not affect the base.

Cons:

- you can burn to death if you are not careful.
- Water is your enemy. If someone decides to throw water all over it, your base is done for. Good thing people don't do that often.
