Designing a Home in Minecraft Survival
Firstly, you will want to locate an area in which you find suitable for a house. This area could be determined by ease of access, scenery, and/or the physical resources located in the area, such as coal or iron. Depending on personal preference, an area with all of these factors would be the best possible spot in which to build a home.
Next, find a color scheme and building style you like and will not get tired of. Keep in mind, though, that this house is being built on survival and you may run out of building materials, so make sure you have everything you need before starting this task. You may also want to build your house, first, in creative mode on a separate map to see how you like it and possibly change it so it can be easily re-created in survival mode with little to no mistakes.
Finally, think of a layout for your house that will be easy to navigate through and will give you maximum support for all your survival needs. This could be a single or multi-level home with one or more rooms per floor. Rooms could be used as storage areas, bedrooms, smelting rooms (furnace rooms), or crafting rooms. Un-used rooms in your home could be used for decoration. For example, furniture could be placed in these rooms.
