Now, you're probably wondering, "How do I get materials? Where do I choose to live? When will I get to mine for things such as diamonds?" Well, I'll tell you. In order to start doing that on Survival, you need a house to live in.
How Do I Get Materials?:
Okay, so in order to get some materials, you need to go to the nearest tree and start mining out Wood and turn it into Wooden Planks. Probably the second thing you craft would be a Crafting Table. I think we all know why we need that item. Now we can craft tools! Just keep mining Wood and turn it into planks and then sticks. Hopefully you made an Axe, and a Pickaxe. The reason I say Pickaxe is because some people would like to mine out Cobblestone and either modify their tools, or make the basic house just a shack made of Cobblestone. But it doesn't matter whether you choose to upgrade or build with. You will also want a bed if you travel far from where you start so you have a spawn point if you die. Anyway, back to the point. You should have everything to start deciding where to live.
Where Do I Choose To Live?:
So, Step #1 is complete. Now, where is the spot I should live at? This can take a while for some people to find the perfect spot to live. So I'm going to tell those of you who are like that. If you can't find a good place to live and night is approaching, then make a small underground house. Not to much room, not to little room, just nice and snug. Ah, I told you that you might need a bed. And in the morning, you can get started again. Now, back to the topic. When you find a good spot to live, start building a house maybe like the one shown above. (You may use the house in the picture above as a basic house, if you want/prefer). Oh, yeah! Would you look at that? You have a basic house, now. And now guess what? You can start your desired world, now.
