When I first started Minecraft 3 years ago at the age of 22 I had no idea what it was, I honestly thought it was the stupidest, waste of time game I had ever seen in my life. My current husband introduced me to it on the Xbox 360, I played around on it for a bit but got bored and left it for a few months only of course to come back to it and get hooked as we all eventually do! Since my journey on MineCraft has begun I have since had a little girl and became a mother. I started playing on the computer rather then the console and fell in love with the graphics, showing off builds and helping people with whatever knowledge of MineCraft that I have!

So wait! You're a mom that plays MineCraft? Yes, a young mother who not only plays Minecraft but co-owns a server of great kids that I care for just as much as my own! MineCraft isn't just a game for some, its more of an escape or a way to make friends! As a stay at home mother with little friends or social life I really find refuge in this game, and in my server that we just opened a few weeks ago! I love being able to be a role model for younger kids and to help them learn respect. I'm there to talk to when they are down or when they think they have no one there for them! My server (and every server I was ever part of) is my extended family! They don't call me MamaBeau for nothing! Of course I love to build, it's a very relaxing "sport". And it really keeps your brain working, it challenges you to progress and make your next build better and it makes your creative side come out! It is really and truly, art. And none of us could survive without art. Art is the beauty of life and MineCraft is simply a form of art!

So what really makes me a MineCrafter? Well that answer is simple. Kids. Though I might not be one anymore, and yes I may have a child of my own now. I strive to give these kids a fun, safe and enjoyable place to play! I want to see them grow and succeed! They keep the youth in me alive, and in return I give them whatever direction I can in their lives. MineCraft to me is more then just building more then just a game. Its a great way to shape the future, and children will be the ones that lead it! I'm a MineCrafter because I see this as more then a game, more then servers and contests and kids. I see it as a learning and leading experience with amazing powers to distract you for hours on end, weather that be a good thing or a bad thing. I use it as a way to help kids through the harshness of teenage years and adolescence, something I wish could have been done for me when I was that age!
