what would you add to the 1.8? is it a mob? is it a mechanical item? or is it just a new system of staying connected with your friends on mine craft? I DONT KNOW post on the button! Let me know what you think!

guys! i just got new from notch and this is it!


  • Most of the basics of the game engine is in place, so itos time to flesh this game out into something more gamey. More content, more exploration, more things to do, and interesting combat! Once this update is out, there will only some tweaks, optimizations and code cleanups left to the core game before we can call it a full release.

    Weove got a list of some 40+ things we want to add to the game, some small, some big. Some huge. Weove finished a fair number of the items, but thereos still a significant amount of work left. While I canot reveal the date yet for various reasons, we do have a release date for the Adventure Update in mind, and weore hoping weoll be able to hit it.

    Jens and I are keeping the exact contents of the update secret, but we do leak some information every now and then to keep people interested and to stop us from going insane. For the most immediate spoilers, you can follow us on Twitter (@notch and @jeb_), or on Google+ (+Markus Persson and +Jens Bergensten).

    Here are a few of the things weove revealed so far:
    NPC villages
  • Randomly generated dungeons
  • New biome code
  • Fully working Creative Mode (and individual admins can enter Creative Mode on a Survival Mode server if they choose)
  • Critical hits
  • Sprinting
  • More farming options

I would add copper, silver, larger crafting tables, and a baseball cap.
Thats what I like because this is in the older days not like this time of Earth.
Its ture.

Paint. You could make a batch of paint in Bucket with water and a certain dye and you get paint. Adding paintbrushes as well, you could right click on a bucket of paint and you would then have 'paint' on your paintbrush. Your paintbrush is a tool so it has tat little green bar underneath it (sorry can't remember the name). As you where painting (By right clicking on certain surfaces with your paintbrush with whatever paint on it.) You would get to or three paints before having to dip into the paint jar again. Slowly your paint jar would empty as you we're doing this. Well, that's my idea.

this is such a creative idea! i really like the fact that you found another usage for water and dyes! pretty cool! and theres also a mod for this but its not as easy to make like this one. i like your idea better though :)

you should maybe go on the forums, go to suggestions and maybe get your word heard! if it has lots of people agreeing with it, moderators will probably ask notch or something! thats what the beta is for!

Dont give up now! :)

1 thing that i always thought of were tar pits.
I know people already have them in mods, but other than a power source, you could find fossil blocks around them (add that too!) and you pick it up with a bucket, put it into the crafting table surrounded by wooden planks (or sticks), and make a trampoline/bouncy square!
i just thought that would be a cool addition!
