What's the Difference Between Bukkit Server & Minecraft Server?

Hey guys, I really need some help here!! I'm not great with plugins.... But anyways, what's the difference between a Bukkit Server and just a regular Minecraft Server...? Can you still use plugins in a regular Minecraft Server?? Thanks, and please explain the whole installing plugins process, what I need, and how to do it. Thanks(:

Nope. I can't portforward. I run Hamachi ones from time to time but not too often.

i think bukkit is the thing that lets you use like /gmaemode____1 or like /sespawn giant i think thats what it is hope this helps

no bukkit is a server running program that lets you add plugins it doesnt host the server either it just runs it

bukkit servers are just servers with mods. it just sounds better when its called bukkit.

Okay, I got past that part. I installed a plugin but it messed up my spawn point so I redownloaded everything, and replaced the world folder with my world folder, and tried the plugin and it still worked. Suggestions....?

Minecraft server is only a normal server.And Bukkit is with plugins(Cheats,Mods,and more)
