  i just follow these quick- and easy-to-remember rules,
  
  if the word starts with p t c b d g ll m or rh and the previous word is am ar i o (and yn but only if the second word is an adjective) then p turns to b, t turns to d, c turns to g, b turns to f, d turns to dd, g disappears, ll turns to l, m also turns to f and rh turns to r. this also happens after the conditional tense (dylwn i, meaning i should, baswn i, meaning i would and gallwn i meaning i could, but never hoffwn i meaning i would like).
  now, if the word starts with p t c b d or g but not ll m or rh and the previous word is fy or yn, p turns to mh (and yn becomes ym), t turns to nh (and yn stays the same), c turns to ngh (and yn becomes yng), b turns to m (and yn becomes ym again), d turns to n (and yn stays the same again), and g turns to ng (and yn becomes ng again).
  and finally if the word starts with p t or c only and the previous word is a meaning and then p turns to ph, t turns to th and c turns to ch. however this one’s kind of just a way to make things easier to pronounce because welsh people talk really fast so you can sort of ignore it, so actually forget everything i just said entirely.
