Here are a few reasons why I am not too particularly drawn towards huge, well-known servers that everyone joins...
1. Most of them lag: When I join a server, I like no lag.. Doesn't everyone?? I am aware that because my computer sucks. However, I can also tell when I'm lagging far more than usual.. THAT'S unbearable.
2. No private chat? Forget conversations!: If a server has more than 50 users that love to chat, it's going to be really hard to see your screen completely as well as keep a conversation with 1 or 2 people.. Their text will zoom off the screen as soon as 5 other people type something!
3. More users means more admins: I know this is always a good thing to keep a server hack-clean and safe, but privacy is something we have to fight for in America on the internet!! Can't we just go to a server where every keystroke isn't recorded? Lol.
4. Spawn Campers: Once again, with more people, more problems. The more people you have on your server, the more likely there will be spawn campers waiting in a little group to kill any newb that comes by.. That's a bit pathetic.
5. Servers that show off: There are some that deserve to show off, because they have that many people, and those people truly do love that server.. But SOME people choose to advertise their servers as widely as possible when they only have a few people and a couple of "fun" plugins... I don't expect to go on a server ranked #32 just to log on and realize that it's just been made to look amazing by those hardcore fans that vote every. single. day. I want honesty, guys.
For now, this is it.. I may add more in the future, but these are my reasons for not liking famous servers. You might agree, you might not. Tell me what you think in the comments! :) And if you thought this blog was well-stated, please give me a diamond!! I would love that!!
