Hey everyone so as you know on the 1st of April 2013 a.k.a April Fools Day, Mojang released "Minecraft 2.0" to a select number of YouTubers mainly based at the MineCrack server members which then made videos about it etc.

Now this is where everyone is confused on Minecraft 2.0 IS an April Fools Joke straight from Mojang, now ive said to people on the server i mostly play on "who is looking forward to 1.6?" and most of the server thought that 2.0 wasnt a joke and that it was completely legit which then i had to facepalm and try to explain to them that it was an April Fools.

"Pink Withers" - a derpy floating recoloured wither that doesnt really do anything but grow heads when the player clicks the pink wither with sugar.

"Redstone Bugs" - with the amount of redstone bugs in minecraft, Mojang decided to poke fun at that and recolour the silverfish red.

"Blue Chickens" - Chickens that drop lapis and diamond

"Hostile Chicken" - when looking at a chicken, it will attack the player just like an enderman.

"Super Hostile Mode" - Every 5 or so minutes, a large thunder storm with strike the area the player is in whilst spawning alot of really over powered mobs and can kill you within seconds.

"Super HD Graphics Setting" - This is a troll setting within the April Fools client that tricks the player into clicking the button expecting super HD graphics....but is left with an almost aether style world (grey dirt and players).

"Horses" - Retextured pigs to look like horses.

"Exploding Mobs" - When a mob is fed by the player too much the mob would explode.

"Ethoslabs" - A TNT half slab that drops an anvil on the nearest player and happens to be named after the YouTuber "Etho" from the Minecrack team

i know there were more things added to the client but i think those elements in the client may be in the 1.6 update of Minecraft such as the burning out torches that were going to be added in the near future of Minecraft.

People just dont understand that the 2.0 update is an april fools joke, this update was mentioned on the Mojang website on april fools day and on the same day, the minecrack member made their videos for it, dont you think that is a ....coincidence? also, on the mojang website, it clearly states above the image "Update: April Fools"

We all know or should know that the 1.6's release date is sometime in may which was mentioned by one of the developers at Mojang on Twitter which will be a HUGE update according to the Mojang folk, all i know is that C418 is remastering all of his music for minecraft, Mobs are confirmed and that there is the word going around the internet of the "Ocean Update" but we will get more info and snapshots when the release date is near.
