Level 9 : Apprentice Hunter

Steve woke up to his loud alarm at 6:00, Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Got up, brushed his teeth, put on some clothes, got ready for work. Steve wore his lucky blue shirt and jeans. He got on the bus to work. He worked at the MC laboratories. Steve walked in. “Dang it! 5 minutes late again.” Steve whispered to himself. Steve went to his office cubicle and put on his lab coat. He started to work on a project he had been working on for months. Just then, his boss burst in to his cubicle. “Steve, you’re late again.” The boss exclaimed.“Sorry Mr. Notch.” Steve answered. Mr. Notch said “I’ll let you loose this time. But anyways, I have a special project for you. Follow me.”
Steve followed Mr. Notch into a large, dark room. There was another scientist in the room, and a bed in the middle of the room. “Hello, I am Dr. Jeb. We wanted to test a machine we made that will put you into a virtual reality, where everything is harmless and peaceful. Please lie down on the bed. I am going to hook you up to this machine now, Okay?” explained Dr. Jeb, rather excitedly. “Okay. What will it be like?” asked Steve, as Dr. Jeb hooked him up. Dr. Jeb replied “It’s your job to see what it is like.” Immediately, Dr. Jeb turned on the machine. Steve’s head throbbed, and then he opened his eyes and saw a grassy land before him. It was amazing, except for one thing: everything was blocky.
“Can you here us Steve?” boomed a voice from above, and Steve noticed it was Mr. Notch. “Yeah.” Steve replied. "What is this place?" Steve asked. "We call it Minecraft." said Mr. Notch.Steve was exploring around when Mr. Notch said urgently “Steve you have to get out of there! We are having problems with the machine. Try to wake up!” Steve was trying his hardest, he kept trying and finally he woke up. Steve looked around and saw the blocky landscape. Steve screamed “MR. NOTCH! DR. JEB!” There was no answer. Years later Steve developed a portal to try to get out of this blocky world. He stepped in and--- saw a world he named the “Nether”. From then on, Steve lived in the blocky world.
