I expect everyone to have run into a situation like this: you are building a huge city, stretching for kilometres in either direction, and all of it handcrafted by you. As you meticulously try to fill in every inch of the interior rooms, you find that the project would take ages. I am in a similar situation, in which I am building an entire country, 10 km x 9.5 km, with towns and cities dotting the region. That's an issue, isn't it? How am I supposed to build every single room in the country? My secret is: 'phantom buildings'.

First of all, what are 'phantom buildings'? They are, as you see in the picture, empty buildings that look good from the outside. It saves time and kinda looks okay at the same time, so it's a good strategy. Lazy, I know. Haha ;P

So how do you make one? Here's how.

1. Build the exterior, according to your plan.

2. Take grey stained clay and sea lanterns from your inventory.

3. Decide which rooms to be occupied, and which ones to be empty.

4. Fill in the windows of the occupied rooms with the sea lanterns, and the empty ones with grey stained clay.

5. Presto! You're done. Step back and take a look!

'Phantom buildings' should really help you speed forward in your projects. Less detail, I know, but more buildings. So yep. It's a good method.

That's a great, easy idea for a more realistic style build! (with some rooms being vacant while others are occupied, ext.)
