Tired of wasting so much time running around? This pack offers a ~somewhat~ balanced solution!

This datapack makes you gradually speed up as you run, building up to a speed 2X as fast as vanilla. If you stop or crash into a block, the speed gets reset. Dodging obstacles becomes much more important, and sprinting becomes a skill to be mastered.

You start at about walking speed, quickly build up to a normal sprint, and reach top speed after around 7 seconds.
Top speed is 2X faster than normal, so you start sweating and get the hunger effect.

Fixed bug where you could sneak and retain your speed.

It does work in 1.18 too for anyone wondering. Also if you find the change in FOV anoying optifine has an option called dynamic FOV. Turn this off if you dont like it.,

it doesn't compatible in multiplayer does it? or do i need to unzip the files?

It works on multiplayer. Yes, unzip the files.

Nice data pack, seems to work well apart from the fact that you can exploit it slightly by sprinting and crouching you will still build up speed, and if you Crouch up to the edge of a block you will build up speed without moving.




I suggest resetting the scoreas_sprint if the player is sneaking. :)

It adds up and doesn't break.
There may be other datapacks out there that it does not add up with.
