The datapack doesn't add a new "gold armor" set it uses a constantly running function that adds more armor points to the current armor, the whole set is 18 points , full diamond is 20 for reference. I also recommend using it with my other datapack "rose gold armor" which changes gold armor set to Rose gold one.
