Chasm is an overworld conversion datapack for Minecraft Java Edition 1.17.1 This mod converts the overworld into a large cave world that is 384 blocks deep.
Explore 19 custom biomes ranging from hot underground deserts to icy frozen caves. Dig deep and overcome the challenge of vertical travel.

Basic Instructions:
Advance Instructions Included in pack.
1. Go to "Data Packs"
2. Go to "Open Pack Folder"
3. Put the "Chasm" folder in there
4. Select the data pack and hit "Done".
5. Go to "More World Options..."
6. Click "Import Settings"
7. Select the text file "chasm_world_settings" and hit "Open"
8. Click "Yes" then "Done"
9. Name your world and select difficulty (note: on peaceful you cant obtain passive mobs)
10. Create your world and click "Proceed"
11. Follow in game instructions

1. Split up the chasm_world_settings file into a dimension file, dimension type, and noise settings file so that you dont have to import settings
2. Switch from a checkerboard biome layout to a multi noise layout, it may seem intimidating at first, but you'll get the hang of it
Also, I'd recommend joining worldgen related discords like the Terralith discord (owned by Starmute) or the Dimensions Initiative server
