This datapack is a utility meant to be utilized in other creations, maps, datapacks, et cetera...
Minecraft does not have an easy or good way to track a players cursor, so this data pack adds an effective and technical way of doing so.
The .zip contains a README.txt that explains its use in full depth and has the necessary commands typed out. There is a lot that can be done with this framework, but it does require some familiarity with commands.
Technical Details
====================
This datapack tracks the cursor up to 6m by using a line of 12 armor stands place 0.5m apart
The change in position is calculated and applied every tick
Tags identify the armor stands and scoreboard scores group them to players
Future Updates
=====================
Looking at creating a more accurate version, which would use more armor stands per player spaced closer together
Create a more friendly selector / UI
Tweak "Visibility / Debugger" so it cannot push you around (happens because of entity collision)
Tweak "Visibility / Debugger" so it disappears in "Bury" and "Block" mode when the player does not have a block in view and range
