Custom Blasting & Smithing introduces Armor Progression, a more dedicated to Forging Blast Furnace and of course it expands a little bit the Smithing Table Recipes without going too crazy, I tried to reach a nice and healthy balance with this Data Pack to grant the best experience to most users while it sticks to the Vanilla feel, I decided to only focus this work around Recipes just to keep it simple and a less compromised addition to your world.

The first aclaration is that this Pack focuses on push the Iron Age in Minecraft, so if you are not familiar with a more slow gameplay experience I don't recommend the installation of this Pack in your survival world.

So let's start with the details of this Pack.

1- The very first thing to know is that I nerfed the Furnace, I changed the smelting recipes to yield only Nuggets from the Iron & Gold Ores, to gather the Ingots you will need to first craft a Blast Furnace, this one now besides blast Ores faster it will give you the Ingots completely.
With this I wanted to slow down a little bit the beginning experience in your Minecraft World, as a long time player I always found Iron way too easy to get at the early game, so you will still find Iron at the same rates as before but now it's a compromised process.
It will take your first Blast Furnace 45 Iron Ores, with this, it will mark your start in the Iron Age, you can still go to a Village and rush more the proccess if you want.

2- So what now? I am more exposed without my Iron Armor, well for this I decided to let players craft Chainmail Armor with Chains and Iron Nuggets, but there's a payoff, to craft Chainmail Armor you first need to have Leather Armor, this to incentive players to start with leather before go straigth up to the Mineral choices.

3- As I mentioned before, Smithing Table got some extra Recipes to make this workstation more important besides being necessary only in the late game, now you can upgrade Stone Tools to Gold with Ingots and Gold to Iron Tools with Ingots as well, this in theory sounds very lackluster since in the Overworld is more hard to find Gold than Iron and that's true, but if you want to do a Nether starting Challenge, you can take advantage of this, since Iron in the Nether is waaay more rare and Gold is abundant, you can upgrade your Blackstone tools to Gold and later to Iron more easily. Plus if you find enchanted Gold Tools in Ruined Portal Chests it becomes more valuable as it can be upgraded to Iron while it holds these enchants.
I reserved the Armor Upgrades since these ones requires a lot more of materials to Craft, so for Iron and Gold Upgrades it works only in Tools but for Chainmail it works on the Armor, you can upgrade Leather Armor to Chainmail with Iron Ingots and a little bonus is that you can upgrade Leather Horse Armor to Iron and later to Gold with their respective Ingots.

4- To craft Iron Armor you'll need first Chainmail Armor to keep up with the Armor Progression, the Gold & Diamond Armors still working independently.

5- Some additions include Blast Furnaces, Grindstone and Armor Stands being craftable with Polished Blackstone, this given to the players that likes to start in the Nether, so if you want to include this Data Pack in a Nether Challenge go ahead.

6- The final thing that I adressed in this Pack is Ancient Debris, now it needs a Blast Furnace to be fully smelted, if you place an Ancient Debris block in a Furnace besides take an absurd amount of time to proccess it, is going to give you back the Ancient Debris with 0 XP, so you will need to reach to a Blast Furnace, but even here it will take a slow smelting time and it will consume more materials to blast, so better gather some Lava and take away that Coal.

7- I also increased a little bit, just a little the expierence given to players when they blast Ancient Debris, Iron, Gold & Nether Gold Ores in Blast Furnaces, this along with a more rewarding system for Armor Smelting, right now the game gives you a Nugget when you smelt any Iron/Gold Tools and Armor, now Tools with Armor still gives you Nuggets in the Furnace but in the Blast Furnace it yields Ingots, this works exclusively for both player and horse armors (excluding Diamond Horse-Player Armors), it takes more time to blast than regular Ores but is now more rewarding than before.

I attached some screenshots but you are probably not going to worry about the Recipes since I included those in this Data Pack.
