Description
This data pack adds new structures to the world as well as some other changes. All features are listed below. In the future, there might be further dungeons added and various other features which will make the game more fun to play and give the player more to explore.
The data pack requires a texture pack. It is included in the downloaded folder. For more information read the installation guide.
This data pack currently adds the following features:
- In the nether around hight 12, diamond ore will generate.
- A new type of dungeon may be found in the nether. It includes one to four chests and a zombie or a creeper spawner.
- Some blocks have been retextured and now drop different loot:
- Deepslate Emerald Ore is now Nether Diamond Ore.
- The Raw Gold Block is now Nether Cobblestone.
- The Red Nether Brick is now Mossy Nether Cobblestone.
- Additional textures for carrots, apples, and bones have been added.
- Fish and Wither Skeletons can now drop bones.
- Iron trees can be found in the world. Underneath them, there is always a chest. These trees have vines on them.
- The chest underneath iron trees can contain various loot. They can contain a heart.
- Hearts were added. They are used to gain more life.
- The player now starts the game with three hearts instead of ten.
- In grasslands small, destroyed houses can generate. They contain chests and spawners.
- Destroyed houses with randomly generated dungeons underneath them generate in the world.
- Small houses with a villager in them may generate in the world.
- Magical places – small structures – can generate in the world, they are needed to craft wands.
- Small towers with loot and spawners can generate in the world.
- Silver ore has been added. It drops one to two raw silver.
- Raw silver can be made into silver ingots.
- Silver ingots can be crafted into silver armor.
- Armor changes:
- A full set of leather armor adds two additional lives.
- A full set of gold armor adds a haste and speed effect.
- A full set of iron armor adds two additional armor points.
- Blood Stone, Blood Cobblestone, and Blood Stone Ore have been added.
- Blood Stone generates underground. Blood Stone Ore does not yet generate.
- Magical Ore has been added. It generates underground between 0hight 0 and 32.
- Magic, an item dropped from Magic Ore, was added. It is used to craft wands.
- The further down one goes the stronger Zombies, Skeletons, and Spiders get.
- There are new advancements, replacing the vanilla advancements.
- Wooden tools were replaced by flint tools.
Installation
Data Pack
1. Create a new world. While creating click on Data Packs.
2. Click on Open Pack Folder. Drag the file named “Dungeon Exploration” in the folder.
3. Select the data pack in Minecraft. Click Done. And Create the world.
Texture Pack
1. Go in Minecraft to Options -> Resource Packs.
2. Click on Open Pack Folder. Drag the file named “Dungeon Exploration Textures” in the folder.
3. Select the texture pack in Minecraft as the one you want to play with.
The data pack and the texture pack should now be installed and playable.
In case something does not work try /reload. If this does not work you may leave a comment with the problem and I will look at it.
