Ever want to play on a server with friends, but it get's too laggy with people flying all over the place?
How about the uselessness of horses, or speed potions in the end game?
Look no further, the Elytra Alternative Datapack will help you out!
Using a few simple functions, Elytra Alternative replaces elytra spawning in End Cities with a "Dragon Soul."
The Dragon Soul will give the player full control over two potion effects; Slowfalling and Levitation. All you need to do is crouch!
Removing the ability to lag out the server, but still keeping the ability to fly, this datapack can fit into your world perfectly even after parts of the end are generated.
There is no crafting recipe for this item, and it will only spawn in end cities. If you wish to still have elytra in the game, you can remove it's replacement of end-city-elytra's via deleting one mcfunction file. (data>altfly>functions>check_frame.mcfunction)
The give command to get the Dragon Soul is "give @s command_block_minecart{CustomModelData:69420} 1"
For the best experience, install and use the resource pack. On a server, make it mandetory via prompting the user to download it. Enjoy!

I havent tried this pack, but I would probably also appreciate it if you only get levitation if youre sneaking and not on the ground, so you can still work on edges easily.
Like I said havent tried it, just some suggestions I thought of just now =)
