Mace Balance

IMPORTANT: For those who see, "Oh no, there's a required resource pack, that's too much work to download!", the data pack technically works without it, it's just that the condensed netherite chestplate has a null texture when worn. (but not as an item) The resource pack works perfectly fine without the data pack, if you just want the 3D mace model.




This data pack tries to balance the mace by adding a few enchantments that try to counter the mace's ability to do unlimited damage with enough of a fall. One enchantment buffs the mace, but it is rare and annoying to obtain, and doesn't affect the meta too much.

Enchantments

Compact I - III: Provides protection against mace damage.

Books are reward from trial vaults (not ominous)

Wind Burst IV: Can't be combined from two Wind Burst III books.

1% chance to drop from phantoms

Shatterpoint I - II: Shield enchantment that damages attacker's weapons if they jump on you from a height.

Rare drop from pots in trial chamber corridors

Misc.

Condensed Netherite Chestplate: Buffed netherite chestplate.

Crafted with heavy core, netherite chestplate, and netherite upgrade smithing trim (in that order) in a smithing table
