Everything is in the title! If you ever have lags due to the number of meteors, contact me so I can give you a lighter version.
You can edit the time between 2 meteors using the following command by replacing XX with desired number of seconds multiplied by 20. (It is set to 1 second by default, so the XX value is 20.)

/scoreboard players set $Delay awor_mera XXAs an example, with XX = 40, a meteor will spawn every 2 seconds. With XX = 90, a meteor will spawn every 4.5 seconds. With XX = 5, a meteor will spawn every 0.25 seconds. Etc...Technical Information
• The default delay is set to 1 meteor per player per second with a XX value equal to 20
• The spawning area is a 256x square around each player
• The meteor radius is included between 8 and 14 blocks (excluding the fire)
• Meteors are composed of Obsidian, Magma Block, Netherrack, Coal Block and End Block
