Hello there, Planet Minecraft! This is my first published data pack, and I think it turned out pretty well. I hope you guys like it!

So, what does this pack do?
As indicated in the title, this data pack adds craftable, survival-friendly Music Boxes to your Minecraft world!

How do Music Boxes work?
To get a Music Box, place a Jukebox and a Music Disc in a crafting menu together. You can slow down or speed up the song by adding a Slimeball or Redstone Torch to the recipe, respectively. When you place a Music Box down, it plays its disc to any players within a radius of 12 blocks on loop. Players who are already listening to the song can go up to 20 blocks away from the Music Box before the song stops, but this range can be extended by placing other Music Boxes of the same type nearby so their audible radii intersect.

How do I know if the radii of two Music Boxes intersect?
To see the radii of Music Boxes, you can use the Radius Viewer, which can be crafted using a Stick and an Echo Shard. Right clicking on a Music Box with a Radius Viewer will toggle the Music Box's radii on or off. The inner orange radius is the activation radius, which is the radius players have to be inside for the Music Box to activate, and the outer purple radius is the audible radius, which is the area inside which players can hear the song after it starts playing.

How do I get rid of Music Boxes?
To take a Music Box out of your world and collect its ingredients, craft a Music Box Breaker using a Stick and a Trial Key. Right clicking with a Music Box Breaker on a Music Box will destroy the Music Box, dropping the Jukebox, the Music Disc, and a Slimeball or a Redstone Torch if it was a slow or fast Music Box, respectively.

Why do the items look like Spawn Eggs and Golden Carrots?
That's only because I haven't gotten around to making a dedicated resource pack for this data pack yet. Don't worry, there will be custom textures at some point.

Why can't I hear my Music Boxes?/Why are my Music Boxes too loud?
Music Boxes use the "Voice/Speech" sound category to avoid conflicts with Jukeboxes, so make sure you set that slider to a good volume level before trying to use any Music Boxes. Note that this is also the slider that controls the volume of the Narrator.

That's about all you should need to know for using this data pack, so have fun spicing up your worlds with some ambient music!
