Features
• Automatically generate path block trails over frequently travelled areas!
• Grass blocks turn into dirt, then into path blocks when walked over.
• Carefully crafted function only converts heavily walked over areas over time.
• Supports Podzol, Mycelium, Nylium, and Coarse Dirt as well!

The Path Generator Datapack will automatically convert ground below you every few game ticks to a dirt block and later to a path block if you walk over it. This allows the dirt to grow back into grass if you do not want a path to be created there. Over time, your walking routes will grow into connected trails as an immersive survival feature.

Compatibility
• 1.18 and newer versions, including 1.19!





Installation Instructions
• Download the Data Pack
• Place the zip file inside your Data Pack folder of your world save
• Rejoin the world or type /reload
• Type

  /function paths:settings/settings1
To reopen the settings menu at any time


Planned Features
• Customize path generation interval.
• Support for older versions of Minecraft.

This data pack is nice, but I would like an option to reduce the amount of time taken for a block to degrade. Currently, you can turn a grass block into a grass path by standing on it for about 15 seconds. Additionally, floating above a block in Creative mode is erroneously considered as standing on it as long as your Y level rounded down is the same as it would be if you were actually standing on it.

That is already supported through optional settings, please enable them to create paths on those blocks

In the update log you wrote "1.18.3" instead of "1.18.2".

When 1.9 release this June yes I will update, 1.18.3 is an optional update to 1.18.2 and will work on both of those versions
