You ever need a respawn timer for your server?
This is the perfect datapack for you

this datapack will put players in spectator mode for 100 (configurable) ticks then return them to their gamemode and respawn point (does not count deaths in spectator mode, spectator mode deaths will just instantly respawn)

all of its tags/scoreboard variables start with "respawn." so it wont overwrite anything you already have

use /scoreboard players set time respawn.timer <value in ticks> to set the respawn time.

will return you to your previous gamemode after you spectate!

It also is very modable with simple code!


install instructions: just plop it in your world.... thats it. if your world is running already use /reload

fixed flickering armor stand at worldspawn
removed tp to deathpoint because it didn't work on servers where your ping wasn't almost 0
removed say commands

players now face the proper direction when respawning.

can include it in single mode? Because i get error "Unknown scoreboard objective respawn.time" after trying to change the respawn time, but the datapack doesn't work anyway

I would love to have an option to give blindness to players who are waiting to respawn so they cant see everything that easy underground

You can give blindness to all players with the respawn.toSurvival or respawn.toAdventure tags to do this, this will give it to any players in survival mode or adventure mode waiting to respawn.

All of the commands should work in 1.19, however it is as of yet untested.
