This Datapack allows admins to make normal players into Moderators in a Vanilla Server. Mods can kick, ban, and spectate. Spectating permission can be turned on and off by the admin.


Make sure to set this in the server.propeties. It won't work otherwise.

function-permission-level=3



/tag [​name] add modMakes a player a Moderator.
/trigger ban set [​id]Bans player with that ID
/trigger kick set [​id]Kicks player with that ID
/scoreboard players set $spec_perms spec 0Disable Spectating feature for Moderators (used by OP)
/scoreboard players set $spec_perms spec 1Enable Spectating feature for Moderators (used by OP)
/trigger specMakes Mod go into spectator for the default 30 seconds  
/trigger spec set [​seconds]Puts Mod into spectator for a specific amount of seconds
/function sm:uninstallDisable and removes all objectives made by datapack

If realms allows you to go into the server.properties to change this. It should work fully.function-permission-level=3

Greetings.

First of all. Thank you for the sharing.

Unfortunatly I'm here to ask if anyone knows why the kick/ban part of the datapack is not working.
The spctator works just fine but when it comes to mod tagged players to use the kick or ban trigger commands, it does nothing.

It's on a 1.19.3 vanilla server with 8 datapacks from vanillatweaks (afk display v1.1.3, armor statues v2.8.4, coordinates hud v1.2.3, durability ping v1.1.3, homes v1.5.4, more mob heads v2.10.1, player head drops v1.1.3 and spawn v2.3.3).

Any help stearing me off in the path of a solution will be welcome.

Its because you need "function-permission-level=3" in the server.properties. If its already at 3 make it 4

Thank you for the prompt reply.

The "function-permission-level=3" was in fact already set to 3.

A fellow admin did changed it to 4, as you suggested.

Didn't work. The spec command is working but not the kick/ban commands.

I deleted the datapack from the server.
Used the /reload command.
Added the datapack back and used the /reload command.

Nothing changed; the spec command works but not the kick/ban commands.

Any additional suggestion?

Join my discord to discuss further. Youll get answers much quicker. I just tested it on my server and everything works.
Oh also I beileve I wrote it so you cannot kick/ban other mods.
