Hey! I made a simple datapack that allows you to put tools behind your back, like in all of the cringy 2012 thumbnails and skins!
To install:
1: Download the zip, extract it.
2: Go inside the extracted folder, and copy the folder inside that. It should also be called "Sheathable_Swords_1.17".
3: In the address bar, go to "%appdata%" and then ".minecraft". Go into "saves" and select the world you want to use the pack in.
4: Go into "datapacks" and paste the folder.
To use:
1: Run /function sword:enable
2: Look down at the ground, and right click with the item you want to place behind back.
3: To disable the sheath, type /function sword:disable
VERY IMPORTANT NOTES!!!
*When disabling the sheath, make sure you have no items inside it, or they will disappear.
*This only works in singleplayer, if you are interested in using this pack for a multiplayer server, please message me on Discord (TheMCMultitasker#1713) or here on PMC.

I always thought it would be neat to be able to "sheathe" your sword. I was browsing the internet for a mod or a resource/data pack that would allow me to do this...they're few and far between. And then I stumbled across this!
I was wondering if you'd be able and willing to create a version of the data pack where your character sheathes the sword at the hip on the left side for version 1.19? That would be very wonderful; I think back sheathes are cool and all, but I prefer the aesthetic of sheathing swords at the hip.
