This datapack allows you to mix potions in a cauldron. To mix potions just throw up to 3 potions into a cauldron and they will be mixed. You can take out a potion out by throwing an empty bottle into the cauldron. The potions color will also be mixed and will show up in the cauldron if you have the resource pack enabled.

You can also modify potions by throwing in extra items-
Gunpowder - Makes the potion a splash potion
Dragons Breath - Makes the potion a lingering potion (Can be crafted into tipped arrows)
Sponge - Clears the cauldron of potions

The file you download has both the datapack and resource pack in it, as well as an info file that will explain which file is which.

not directly related to the pack itself, but im interested in changing cauldron water color for making potions brewed within the cauldron by throwing ingredients. (e.g. throw in blaze powder, it turns orange color)

if you can point me in the right direction of how to set the color that would be helpful. like what particular line of code does this (with the resource pack enabled)?

So the cauldron water is actually just a potion on an armor that is retextured. Potions have a tag called CustomPotionColor which can be set to a color. I just change that based on the color I want so that I can get the custom colors
