I saw alot of people wanting shields with the thorns enchantment to do dmg when blocking a hit from a mob. This data pack attempts to make just that happen. If ppl want a better more updated version im making atleast one more update (1.0), and maybe in the future a more robust version of the datapack (like a 2.0)



Current highest version of the pack is:

- Version - 1.0
+ Now Filters all passive mobs thx to:
GalSergey On Reddit
+ Players can now get affected meaning it will now work in pvp

- Version - 0.9
Things to note about this version is:


-The pack only filters 3 entity types out, meaning passive mobs could take damage from the /damage command
^[​This is what im planning fixing in the 1.0 version]

-The pack selects the nearest entity (except 3 entiity type's). Meaning its not specifically the the mob that hit the shield that takes damage
- The pack does not care wat level enchant u have and will always do half of the max damage possible with thorns (2 damage)
^[​want to fix in in ver:2.0]

Heyo I know it's been a while. I wanna make this happen again but a better version. Some1 else has actually beaten me to the idea for newer versions on Modrinth if u have not seen it here it is Incase u want it
