can i somehow disable the scoreboard showing the light level? its kind of annoying to have on at all times

Yes for sure but you need to edit the datapack manually. Unzip the datapack to a new folder, find the .mcfunction file with a title command in it and remove it. Then re-zip the datapack and done :)
